Submitting a college application is a big step. From the sitting within my computer reading the preview of my application over and over. And repeatedly again. I am not kidding I probably read it over 50 times to make sure everything looked ok.

I did son’t have a complete lot of direction in this procedures. Used to don’t have a college guidance counselor, and I was the very first in my own household to wait a four-year college. But we knew in the most positive way possible that I wanted to put my best foot forward and present myself. I made sure to emphasize my greatest achievements and my strongest activities that are extracurricular. And in my essays I became sure to emphasize my interest in each organization. I was thoughtful about why each college or university ended up being on my list, making sure that made it easier to communicate to those institutions as to why I desired to attend each school.

I made sure my letters of recommendation were submitted on time. I followed up with my instructors to make sure they were sent. You are completing an application for college. Do not take shortcuts.

I wasn’t the sort of student to submit my application on November 1st if the application was December 1st, I were although I wish.
